Day 1: Kigali, City tour– Ruhengeri.
Meet our guide at the airport, then after have a city tour around Kigali, you will visit Gisozi genocide memorial, craft shop and local market. From there, continue to volcanoes via the undulating thousand hills of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at mountain Gorilla view lodge Meal plan: H/B
Day 2: Gorilla tracking- Ibyi’wachu cultural village
Have a lovely breakfast in the morning and proceed to the headquarters for briefing about the gorillas and meeting the park rangers. The experience is exhilarating as you get ready to hike through the jungle in search for the gorillas you will see them in groups as they do their daily routine work, mothers feeding their young ones, playing, feeding and some resting you will be required to switch off your flash as you take pictures. Trekking the gorillas may take from 1 to 8 hours depending on their movements. After go for Ibyi’wachu cultural village, they perform Kinyarwanda dance and songs. You will be excited as they demonstrate Kinyarwanda culture. Return back to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Mountain gorilla view lodge: Meal plan full board
Day 3: Dian Fossey Grave Visit- Visit the Twin Lakes.
Dian Fossey was an American as an American zoologist, primatologist, and anthropologist who undertook an extensive study of mountain gorilla groups over a period of 18 years. She studied them daily in the mountain forests of Rwanda, initially encouraged to work there by anthropologist Louis Leakey. Her 1983 book, Gorillas in the Mist, combines her scientific study of the gorillas at Karisoke Research Center with her own personal story. It was adapted into a 1988 film of the same name. Unfortunately Fossey was murdered in 1985; inside her research Centre and was buried near her favorite gorilla digit. You will visit her grave and experience the practical part of her work. After, return to your lodge for relaxation and in the evening, visit the Twin lakes of Bulera and Rubondo. Dinner and overnight at mountain Gorilla view lodge: Meal plan Full board
Day 4. Golden Monkey Tracking- Departure
Have breakfast early morning and proceed for golden monkey tracking, this is another existing activity Prior to meeting the golden monkeys; you will see other primates, fauna and flora. Finally get face to face with the beautiful golden monkeys. You will see them play as they jump from one branch of tree to the other all this will be fun and memorable for your African adventure tour. After lunch drive back to Kigali. Proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
