Day 1: Pick up from Goma International Airport.

You will be picked up by the Primate Safari experiences tour leader then will brief you about the entire 7 days Congo gorilla safari holiday and later transfer to the lodge in Virunga national park which is the home for the mountain gorillas in Congo . Dinner and overnight at Mikeno Lodge / Bukima tented Camp/ Kibumba Tented Camp.

Day 2:Gorilla Trekking in Virunga

After morning breakfast at the lodge , the experienced tour leader will transfer you to park headquarter for briefing about the Mountain gorilla trekking rules and regulations to be observed during the adventure in Virunga searching for the gorillas in the wilderness.

You will stay with the gorillas for one hour taking photos and films as you watch them play with the young ones as sliver back leads the group of your visit.  After return to the lodge for relaxation as you observe the Mikeno mountain that forms parts of the 8 massif that make up the virunga Mountains shared by Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.

Day 3: Nyiragongo Trek in Virunga National Park.

After Morning breakfast, the experienced tour guide of primate Safari experiences will transfer you to connect to kibati station where briefing about the Nyiragongo Volcano hike and arranging for the porters to help you carrying the mikeno packages ( including your Sleeping bags, lunch and drinking water ), Registration of the Nyiragongo hike Permits with the Virunga Foundations and later start the hike that involves various resting points on the mountain.

You will have lunch en route as you keep the hike , the trail is expected to last for 7-9 hours depending on the size of the group and the strength of the travelers.

Upon arrival at the summit you will enjoy the view of the world’s active volcano in DR Congo that has been erupting for some good years . Dinner and overnight at the Summit.

Day 4: Descend Nyiragongo Trek & Transfer to Bukavu

After Morning watching of the Lava Lake and taking pictures when its clear at 5 am, you will take breakfast and start to descend down the volcano where you will by pass on the trekkers that will be climbing up wards of the volcano , you will proceed and arrive at the base at around 11 am and the tour guide will transfer you to lac kivu hotel for lunch and later drop you at the speed boat to cross the lake to Bukavu city which is close to Kahuzi biega national park the home for the Eastern lowland gorillas in Africa. Dinner and overnight Orchids Safari lodge /Hotel Begonisa .

Day 5:Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega

After morning breakfast at the hotel , your driver guide will transfer you to Kahuzi biega national park the natural habitant for the eastern lowland gorillas and briefing will be done at the park headquarter as you enjoy tea , later hit the jungle to search for the primates in the wilderness of Congo with experienced park rangers.

Once found you will spend 1 hour with the gorillas if its gorilla trekking and 4 hours if its habituation as you take photos and films as you watch the gorillas play with their young ones. Later return back to the park for dinner and overnight at the lodge at the park.

Day 6:Visit Water Falls & Chimpanzee Feeding in Lwiro

After morning breakfast at the lodge you will head for the most lovely second safari activity enjoyed by travelers that select to visit kahuzi biega , chimpanzee feeding in lwiro where you see the orphanage chimpanzee in the sanctuary and visit the water falls in Kahuzi biega with stop over at the Mubuto house the former president of DR Congo till 2001. After return back to the city of Bukavu for your evening relaxation at the lodge. if time allows you will go for night drive in Bukavu to see the life of Congolese at night . Dinner and overnight at orchids Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Goma for Flight back home.

After Morning breakfast , you will slow down to the hub for the speed boat to connect from Bukavu to Goma city for the afternoon check for the flight back home .

Your driver guide will ensure you have early lunch before dropping off at the airport .
